Cannabis Sativa L., also known as hemp or marihuana , has been one of the reasons people are drawn to Amsterdam for a long time, making the Dutch capital the perfect location for the Hash Marihuana & Hemp Museum. The Hash Marihuana & Hemp Museum is dedicated to the versatility and history of the plant and exhibits a unique collection of several thousand objects related to cannabis, ranging from paintings to hemp ropes and medicinal cannabis bottles. It's the largest museum collection dedicated to the cannabis plant in the world!
Hemp has an unimaginable number of uses. It is used, for example, in the automotive, cosmetics, food and fashion industries. All these purposes are represented in two venues of the Museum. You can even visit a real cannabis garden at the museum. In the afternoon, there is also a demonstration of the so-called vaporization, which you do not want to miss.
Founded in 1987, the Cannabis Museum in Amsterdam is the oldest museum in the world dedicated to Cannabis Sativa L. Since its opening, the Museum has welcomed more than two million visitors. Throughout history, cannabis has been part of many civilizations. From ancient shamanic rituals to modern-day medicine; from 17th-century shipbuilding to today's superfood; from hemp fields in the Dutch countryside to the numerous coffee shops in Amsterdam.
There is no plant known to humankind that is as resourceful as cannabis: of course, as a means to relax, but even more as a medicine and as a raw material for various industries. The Cannabis Museum focuses on the many uses of the plant, its history over the years and its future potential.

- After your payment, we will issue your ticket(s) as soon as possible.
- You will receive your e-ticket(s) and a confirmation by email within few minutes (sometimes it might take longer). You could use it at reserved date and time slot which is mentioned on your e-ticket(s).
- Please pay attention to your exact entrance time on your e-ticket(s).
- If your chosen date or time slot is not available (sold out), we will contact you by email for an alternative time slot. Or we will cancel your order and refund your payment.
Guideline of Using Tickets
- Present your e-ticket(s) at the entrance from your smart phone, simply show your barcode to enter.
- You don't need to wait in the queue
- No need to print out the ticket(s)
- Please arrive 5 minutes before your entrance time on your ticket(s).
- Please note: you might not be allowed to enter if you are late for 30 minutes.
