The Mauritshuis is located in the centre of The Hague, the historical and political heart of the Netherlands. A small world-class museum with a formidable collection of Dutch and Flemish paintings from the 17th century; the golden age of this type of art. The museum consists of two striking historical buildings: the Mauritshuis, a city palace on the Plein in The Hague and the Prince William V Gallery at the Buitenhof.
You are never going to find as many impressive paintings per square metre in the Netherlands as here, in the Mauritshuis. Our museum is home to a world-famous collection of 17th century masterpieces with Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring as the ‘icing on the cake’. We put all our love into making sure that everyone is able to enjoy our collection. That is, after all, what we’re here for!
A visit to the Mauritshuis is always special. But that’s not only because we offer more than 250 paintings, the silk wall coverings on which they hang, and the creaky, historical floor under your feet… A visit to the Mauritshuis is so special because it makes you realise that you’re not alone. - Please write down your visit date under 'Ticket Date'.
- Please write down your correct contact number and email address at the order page. The address is used for your invoice only.
- After your payment, we will issue your ticket(s) as soon as possible.
- You will receive your e-ticket(s) and a confirmation by email within few minutes (sometimes it might take longer). You could use it at reserved date and time slot which is mentioned on your e-ticket(s).
- Please pay attention to your exact entrance time on your e-ticket(s).
- If your chosen date or time slot is not available (sold out), we will contact you by email for an alternative time slot. Or we will cancel your order and refund your payment.
Guideline of Using Tickets
- Present your e-ticket(s) at the entrance from your smart phone, simply show your voucher to enter.
- You don't need to wait in the queue
- No need to print out the ticket(s)
- Please arrive 5 minutes before your entrance time on your ticket(s).
- Please note: you might not be allowed to enter if you are late for 30 minutes.
